VACANCY: TSU Support Services – Snr Balance Sheet Bookkeeper (Western Cape)

Minimum requirements:
1.Accounting/Bookkeeping certificate or diploma will be an advantage
2.Experience at auditors/accounting practice an advantage 3.Skills and experience to undertake balance sheet bookkeeping. 4. Hands-on bookkeeping experience on Pastel Evolution. 5. Advanced Excel and Word skills (MS Office). 6. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. 7. Excellent time management and communication skills.

  1. Clear credit/criminal/health record
  2. Very strong in reconciliations
    10.Have own transport
    11.Willing to work overtime when needed
    Key Responsibilities – Full bookkeeping function to balance sheet which includes:
  • Debtors
    ➢ Monthly contract invoices
    ➢ Ad hoc invoices
    ➢ Registration of vendor portals
    ➢ Customer queries
    ➢ Assisting operations with any queries
  • Creditors
    ➢ Receive supplier invoices via e-mail
    ➢ Forward to line managers for approval for payment and confirmation what project cost refer to
    ➢ Supplier recons
    ➢ Loan payment packs onto the server for CEO approval
    ➢ Update weekly cash flow for payment
    ➢ Allocate supplier payments
  • Cashbook
    ➢ Cheque accounts
    ➢ Credit card account
    ➢ Fleet card statements
    ➢ Savings accounts
  • Intercompany transactions
    ➢ Debtors
    ➢ Suppliers
    ➢ Loan accounts
  • Assets
    ➢ Update asset register
    ➢ Save invoice copies on server
    ➢ Monthly depreciation
  • Liabilities
    ➢ Write liabilities into accounting system
    ➢ Monthly recon of accounts
  • Weekly Cash flow
  • Weekly reporting on debtors, creditors, intercompany loans
  • Prepare accounts for monthly closure
  • Vat submission
  • Audit preparation
    Assist with relevant information needed for BBBEE audit

Remuneration:
Negotiable, depending on skills and experience.
